According to the Florida Today newspaper, a motorcyclist traveling northbound on Wickham Road in Melbourne, Florida was killed on impact Thursday morning, July 11, 2013 after being struck by a vehicle. Evidently, a 2005 Toyota van driven by 57-year-old Orlando woman made a left turn in front of a northbound 1986 Honda motorcycle driven by 65-year-old Palm Bay, Florida man. The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle and killed. The driver of the Toyota was taken to Viera Hospital for precautionary measures following the motorcycle accident. Northbound traffic on Wickham Road was shut down near the intersection for about two hours.
