Bicycle Accident Kills Rider On New Years Day

According to the Florida Today newspaper, a 45 year old Barefoot Bay, Florida died Sunday, January 1, 2012 following abicycle accident on Friday, December 30, 2011. Evidently, the man was riding his bicycle northbound in the right lane of U.S. 1 near Micco Road when he veered into the left lane for some unknown reason and into the path of a 2006 Saturn. The bicylist wasairlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida for the treatment of his personal injuries. The man died in the early morning hours of New Years Day.
