57 Yr Old Woman Dies In Scooter Accident
According to the Florida Today newspaper, a scooter rider was killed Monday, November 28, 2011 after she pulled from her driveway onto John Rodes Boulevard near West Melbourne, Florida. The scooter accident occurred just after 3:00 p.m. near the intersection of Sheridan Road. According to investigators, the scooter pulled from a driveway, across the southbound lane of John Rodes and directly into the path of a 2000 Ford pickup truck which was traveling northbound on John Rodes. As a result of the
scooter accident, the scooter was completely destroyed. The scooter rider was a 57 year-old Melbourne woman. She was not wearing a
helmet. She was transported to Wuesthoff Medical Center in Melbourne where she died a short while later. The pickup driver sustained no
