Tractor-Trailer Rollover Crash On I-95
According to the Florida Today Newspaper, the driver of a tractor-trailer was ticketed for failure to use due care on July 13, 2011 following a two-vehicle crash that left the truck driver injured and blocked southbound traffic on Interstate 95 for nearly two hours near the Port St. John Parkway. The car crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. Evidently, a 1985 Chevrolet SUV and the tractor-trailer were both traveling southbound on I-95 when the driver of the tractor-trailer attempted to pass the SUV. The tractor-trailer reportedly struck the trailer that the SUV was towing which caused both the SUV and the tractor-trailer to roll off southbound I-95 onto the west shoulder. Both vehicles came to a rest on their sides. The truck driver was taken to Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, Florida for treatment of personal injuries.
