Motorcycle Accident On Parkway Road

According to the Florida Today Newspaper, a motorcyclist was critically injured on Friday, July 22, 2011 around 9:35 p.m. when his Harley Davidson motorcycle was struck by a car on Parkway Road, in Melbourne, Florida. Evidently, the motorcycle was eastbound on Parkway Road when a westbound Honda turned left directly into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the side of the Honda tearing off the front passenger door of the Honda. Investigators indicated that the motorcyclist went airborne landing 20 feet from the point of impact. Witnesses said the motorcyclist (who was reportedly not wearing a helmet) landed on his head. The motorcyclist sustained severe personal injuries to his head and face. The motorcylist was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.
