School Bus Driver Passes Out, Bus Ends Up In Pond

According to the Florida Today Newspaper, a Brevard County school bus ended up in a retention pond on the way to school Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Twenty-six Viera High School students were on board the school bus when the 67 year old bus driver reportedly had some type of diabetic reaction and passed out. The school bus then veered into a retention pond near the intersection of Crane Creek and Murrell Road. This bus accident occurred around 8:15 a.m. None of the students sustained personal injuries as a result of the bus crash.
