3 Teen Girls Injured in "Car Surfing" Incident

Three Palm Bay teen girls were injured recently while riding on the hood of car being driven by a friend.  Witnesses said the three girls were having a good time riding on the hood of the car.  The driver was reportedly traveling between 15 and 20 miles per hour.  The three girls ended up on the street after being jettisoned from the hood of the car.  All three girls were taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center for their personal injuries.

Riding on the hood of a car is a dangerous trend widely known as "car surfing."  Many reported car surfing incidents have resulted in fatalities.  These types of car accidents can be avoided by exercising common sense.  Do not put yourself in an inherently dangerous and life threatening situation by riding on the hood of a car.  Not surprisingly, most car surfing incidents involve teens.
